Coleman Hooligan 2 Backpacking Tent Review

I absolutely love this tent!

It’s too bulky for backpacking, so you’ll be better off with Eurika ones BUT for camping in tent sites/not days hike from your car, its an awesome tent.  It has great ventilation (which is a biggy for me considering the mishaps i had with my previous texsport scout tent.. what a horrible purchase that was…)

It has plenty of room, I have a queen size mattress in it and I still have room at the foot for my bags, shoes, and a dog. It has a small shelter-type cover going on by the entrance of it, so you can store your dirty shoes there dry and away from elements (just watch out for spiders).

After a year of excessive use, it has leaked a bit on the seams during a downpour.  I just sealed it up and now it’s like new again!
If it’s beautiful out, take the rain cover off!

What i dont like about this tent, since it’s a uni-pole system structure, it is required to be pinned down on 4 corners, otherwise it just falls over. Usually it’s not a problem but at some campgrounds with rocky terrain, it will give you a hard time to put the spikes through.
Again, for backpacking, i would get something else.

Overall, it’s still an amazing tent and I would highly recommend it!

Check out my Video Review of it!
